Responsibilities

Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
Take digital dental x-rays and perform other diagnostic tests as required
Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care measures
Administer local anesthesia as needed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems (Open Dental)
Assist the dentist during procedures and provide chair-side support
Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean dental environment

Qualifications:

State issued dental hygienist license
State issued dental hygienist license
Prior experience as a hygienist required
Strong interpersonal skills
Proficient in dental software and technology
Proficient in medical imaging techniques for dental diagnostics
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (Open Dental) for maintaining patient records
Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures for accurate insurance claims submission
Strong understanding of dental office operations and procedures
Excellent patient assessment skills to identify oral health issues and develop treatment plans
Thorough knowledge of infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry
